Our new house (hopefully!)

I have been getting a lot of emails and questions about where we are going now that our house is for rent. Well after about 9 months of dealing with the real estate market, we finally found a house we liked. There was a lot of negotiating, but after a week of rewriting the contract we finally have a new house. Of course we have not done the inspection and all, but hopefully that will all go well. We have had a hard time with the sellers thus far (in this BUYERS market, our luck!), but we hope the rest of this process is smooth sailing for us!!

If any of you out there with children have moved and have any advice for transitioning the little ones...pass it on! We have been telling Charlie that we are moving, but she thinks the house belongs to our agent!

This is one of the reasons it is so hard to get a good picture of Charie. Everytime I take a picture, she anticipates the flash and this is what I get. I have a lot of these pictures now! It is either the back of her head or her eyelids.

Look at that face!!!

I finally got to meet little Britt yesterday. He is so cute and a good baby. I tried to figure out who he looked like the whole I was with them and I think he is just the perfect mix of Heather and Sam. It was great to get to see the whole family yesterday, they all looked great!!! I look forward to the next visit!!

What I really think about Valentines Day!!!

I am sitting at home all by myself on Valentine's which is OK, because I am not convinced that it should really be a holiday. It is just a good excuse for companies to charge twice as much for chocolate because they rapped it in red foil. Anyway, while sitting here all by myself I figured I would scroll through all the other blog pages to see if there were any new posts, and that's when I saw adorable little Will Kirk on his first Valentines day... Which made me think of Charlie's first Valentine's Day. I could have picked one of the more angelic pictures, but actually this one has always been my favorite from that day. For those who don't know, I use to dress Charlie up for every holiday and emailed the pictures. Now I can't even get a good shot of her face. How times have changed. I'm not sure, but I think Charlie and I may have the same opinion about this holiday. Either way, we hope everyone had a great day. (PS Leslie I hope "your" party was everything you wanted for Valentine's day!!!!)

A day at the park!

Charlie spent the other day at the park with her little girl friends. She is such a big girl now, she knows how to swing. No more baby swing for her.

Colts Win!!

Lee and Yancey had everyone over for the game last night. I am usually not a Colts fan, but I was pulling for them once Carolina (and Brett) were out of the running. Anyway it was a good time (for most of us, I think there were a few Bears fans that might say otherwise!!!)

PS Thanks again Chris...I owe you all dinner one night or something;)

They are watching the half time show with Prince...I like his music, but I think they all like HIM way more than I do!

Saturday night

Jenni and Kevin had us all over Sat night to cook out and so we could finally meet their very adorable little boy. Charlie was in heaven, they had all her favorite things...a baby, a fire, a set of stairs, two cats and two dogs. She was very entertained. Drake slept the whole time we were there, but it was fun holding him and watching him sleep. Thanks again for having us all over, we enjoyed it and we can't wait to spend a lot more time with you all (Drake is beautiful)!!!!!

Trip to Columbia...

Charlie and I went to Columbia for a few days and she had so much fun playing with her cousin. They got to play all day Wednesday, Thursday and part of Friday!! They are so funny together and they are nonstop. We wish they lived in Charleston!!!!! (It is hard enough to get pictures of one active kid, it is virtually impossible to get a picture of two of them.)

Charlie and Susana

On our last day in Columbia mom and I took Charlie to EdVenture and met Jennifer, Hunter and Lucy Gray there. Lucy Gray has gotten so big since the last time I saw her. Charlie had a good time running around with Hunter and looking at the baby. It was good to see all of them. Here are some of the pictures (Of course they are in no order!)

EdVenture!

Running in circles is always entertaining!

Charlie making Lucy Gray smile! (She wants a baby so bad)

Grandma and Charlie playing in the sand.

Lucy Gray...what a cutie!

Hunter and Charlie reporting the news. That is a magnifine glass stuck to Charlie's face.

Charlie catching "snowflakes" in her mouth at snowville.

More snowville
