Charlie has officially started school. She is going five days a week/half days to a Montessori school. It has been two full weeks now and it is going OK. She goes 5 days a week, so it is a big change for her (and me.) The first week went well...no crying, last week, not so good. I was warned by other friends that this would happen, but it is still hard. I know it is OK, because she is happy when I pick her up and tells me what she did all day. Carson and I have heard many stories about her day and it is fun trying to figure out what she is talking about. She has already made one "new best friend" but she said yesterday that the girl did not love her, so they are not friends anymore. I did not realize these saga's began at three. Fortunately at this age they get over them 5 minutes later because they have no idea what they are talking about. She does not know everybody's names yet, so we hear the girl with spots on her face (freckles) or the mean boy. It is all pretty amusing. Anyway, this picture was from the second day of school and she wanted to fix her own hair!! Surprisingly it stayed that way all day. What a big girl!!!!

Charlie loves the boat!!

This was the first time we took the boat out. We took dinner on the boat and ate out on the water. Somehow Charlie's bathing suit came off (she would have been naked if I'd let her!!) We have been out several times since then, but my little camera was MIA for awhile, so I had to rely on friends for pictures and I have not seen any yet.

Charlie loading the dishwasher...
Charlie is always a BIG help these days. One of the things she likes to do is pour the detergent in the dishwasher. I bought the little packets because I thought they would be easier (and less messy) for her to use. She asked me the other day is she could start the dishwasher and I told her to wait a little while. About ten minutes later Carson called me into the kitchen where I find Charlie and her "pretty flower" she made...
(like I said, BIG helper!!!)

Saturday at the Lake
We drove to the lake for the day yesterday to celebrate Charlie's great-grandfather's 94th birthday. Chalrie was excited because Tom and Sherri and their 4 children came down from Ashville (Charlie has missed the babies~and the boys, but mostly the babies!!~ since they left Charleston!!) She had fun chasing the boys, playing with the babies, opening Papoo's presents and swimming. It was a full day and she fell asleep about 5 minutes after being in the car. When we got home she asked if she could skip her bath and just go to bed...who can argue with that!!!
Sunday Morning
On Sunday we went for a boat ride with some friends out to Morris Island. Phoebe and I ran into Walmart to get some thing, and the girls stayed in the car and made funny faces for Carson (well Charlie was more serious than funny!!) The girls had a good time together and we hope they can come back again before summers over.

Happy 94th birthday Pappo!
Charlie's great-grandfather turns 94 today. I hope to get some new pictures this Saturday when we celebrate birthdays for everyone in Carson's family. I have been very slack in photo taking and posting, but Gabby's birthday was on Saturday. We know she had a great day, she was in Nashville celebrating Fisher's birthday. We will see you on Saturday.
Happy (day late) Birthday Daddy!!

HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY DADDY
(HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE AS OLD AS MOMMY NOW?) We hope you had a great birthday!!!
For some reason blogger would not let me post anything yesterday. I have a few pictures from yesterday to download, mostly of Charlie blowing out Carson's candles and opening his presents. I'll do that later.
