Welcome Reagan!

We are so excited to welcome Reagan Elizabeth Keith to the world. She held out for awhile, but when she decided to make her grand entrance, she wasted no time. I left Lindsay's room last night around 8:15 with no promise of a baby any time soon and somehow I got a call around 10:00 saying that she was born around 9:30. (I just hope my second one goes as fast!!!) Charlie and I went to visit her today and she is as cute as can be. Charlie wanted to hold her the whole time (by herself.) Anyway, they come home tomorrow and we can't wait to spend more time with them.

Charlie has been very into dressing up lately and now that Halloween costumes are at consignment shops I try to stock up. I found this Dumbo costume for $5 and since it was her favorite ride at Disney I thought she would enjoy it. So far she has. She can put it on all by herself and every now and then Carson and I will be sitting on the couch and Dumbo will make his (her ) big entrance. It is pretty funny. Anyway, here are just a few pictures I took the last time she wore it.

Charlie dressing up!

Just in case you can't tell, Charlie is singing in the mirror.

Charlie loves bath foam!!! It is suppose to be soap, but I think it just makes them more dirty (look at that water!) I have to giver her a bath after her bath!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROLINE!

Thursday, September 06, 2007

I know it has been a while since I've blogged, so I just sat down and had a marathon blog night to try and catch up. It has been pretty miserable, so I will try to stay on top of it from now on.
We have been very busy getting Charlie into the routine of school, getting ready for the baby and trying to get to a stopping point on house remodel (before the baby.) Things are settling a little, but I am trying not to get use to it because the new baby will be here before we know it. I do enjoy the mornings to myself to run errands. It is amazing how much I can get done in 5 minutes without a three year old to look after. As nice as it has been it has also been a little weird not having Charlie with me at all times. I have been to many places where people have told me they did not recognize me without my sidekick!! She has had a hard time adjusting, but I think she is starting to enjoy school and I think she will love it before long.
We are all ready for the baby to get here. Me mostly...I officially do not enjoy being pregnant. Charlie asked me if she could go ahead and get the baby out so she could make it laugh. I also hear a lot of "Mommy my stomach hurts...I think it's my baby!" Anyway, I go to the doctor tomorrow and I will try to take a picture of my enormous belly to post.
Enjoy...

Charlie making cookies

I told Charlie we would make cookies and decorate them when she got home from school. I was so impressed when I saw she drew a mouth and two eyes on her bear (yes, that is suppose to be a bear, but I have not figured out the secret on how sugar cookies keep their shape while baking!!) Anyway, she loves decorating them then licking the icing off, not so interested in the cookie...weird!
Just look at that concentration!!!

Last day at the Water Park:(

Monday was the last day for the water park. Carson was in Clemson, so Charlie and I decided to squeeze one more day in before it closed until next summer. We went a few times over the summer, but not nearly as much as I thought we would go. We had a great afternoon and Charlie is defiantly getting more daring and comfortable in the water (but fortunately still very cautious.) I think she will have swimming mastered next summer. At the end of water park season, it is always a little weird for me to think that the next time we go Charlie will be a whole year older and a totally different child, and to think next time we go she will not be the only child.

Trip to Columbia

Charlie and I went to Columbia this past weekend and the girls had fun together as usual. We packed a lot in in a few short days. We had a good time and hope to make it back one more time before the new baby gets here.
Here are a few pictures of the girls being silly. It is still impossible to get them to pose, but I think they will start to soon!!

Charlie and Susana opening Carson's birthday present...

They were cooperating nicely...

It became a race to who could open it the fastest

Now who could get the present first and give it to Carson

Then it just turned into tug of war

The adults had to step in to keep Carson's shirt in one piece...

It is always good to kiss and make up!

Every body's happy again.
