So much for child proofing!

Camden is defiantly into everything, more than I remember Charlie to be. She is particularly drawn to electrical outlets, so I decided it was time to start baby proofing. This is a stage I hate, but I know it has to be done. I purchased outlet covers that are supposedly easier to take out than the traditional ones. I walked around the room and placed one in each outlet. I turned around and saw that Camden had gone around the room behind me and pulled them all out. When I looked at her she held it up to me and smiled...she was so proud of herself. Oh well, I guess it back to the drawing board!

Chad, in case you need a reminder the score was 34 to ZIP!!!

Sorry Chad Daddy...I kept hoping that your Wolfpack (or Ugly Dog as Charlie calls them!) would show up to the game for your sake! In honor of our first win, I think I will let all of you hear the Fight song for one more day. GO COCKS!!!!!

I Have updated (somewhat!!)

GO COCKS!!!

Sorry Thomas side...it is my blog and I can do what I want. You are just lucky there is not a picture of the girls adorned in Carolina gear!

The first week of....

Last week was the first week of school and gymnastics for Charlie.
School has been going GREAT! This is her second year at the same Montessori School, so she has the same class, teacher and friends. The only big change for her is the fact that her best friend was moved into her class...very exciting. I think Griffin being in her class has a lot to do with the smooth transition back to school. She had a hard time all year last year. The tears did not last the whole time, but she never really wanted to go in the mornings. So, having her get dresses and ready with no argument has been great for me. It is awful to send your child off to something they really don't want to do (once she got there she had a good day), but it almost as sad when they jump out of the car and yell "bye mom" while running off to class.

More importantly ~ in Charlie's world ~ she started gymnastics on the same day as school (we also think that had something to do with her excitement about school!) She has been wanting to do it for awhile, and Carson has always thought she needed to be in it. I'll admit, she is defiantly a rough and tumble girly girl and I knew she would be great at it, but I did not want to stunt her growth. Height is not something she has on her side!! Anyway, after she saw the Olympics she REALLY wanted to do it, so I gave in. She did a great job and looks like a natural. I think this is her ( 4 year old) calling! She looks forward to it all week. After her first class the Olympics was still on and she saw a girl on the uneven bars doing all her crazy flips and stuff and she said "Daddy I did not get to do that today." She was a little disappointed about that (she really thought she was going to start with that!) All in all it was a great week!

On the bars!

Rings!

Some other bar (I guess I am going to have to learn the names of some stuff!)

Camden just hanging out with me in the lobby!

One of the balance beams!

Charlie starts school!

I meant to take my camera to school on the first day I picked her up. I was hoping to grab a few shots of her on the playground, but unfortunately I forgot. She would not pose for me with her book bag, but I did manage to get a picture of her in her uniform at least. Being silly, of course!!

So Charlie has not even started school yet and here I sit with a whole packet of Sally Foster. If anyone is interested in ordering, you can go to SF website to see the goods. Leave me a comment if you would like to order from Charlie and I will contact you somehow. I am also going to send out an email to most of my readers, but I thought I would post too!

I will post more soon. Charlie starts school on Wed and I am hoping to have a little time freed up. We also signed her up for gymnastic (she calls it gyNnastics) and she starts that on Wed too. I hope to have some pics from that. Camden is now 9 months and growing so fast. Carson is holding her now (she woke up, but is sound asleep again) and she is starting to look so big. I am not ready for the toddler transition, but it is coming soon. We are sad that summer is over, but it was a little tricky this year with the girls being such different ages! Time is just flying by...

Papoo turns 95

We went to Sumter this past Saturday to celebrate Carson's granfather's 95th birthday. The kids all had fun playing together and were very worn out by the end of the day. Gabby and Poppie kept BOTH kids for us and Carson and I had a night with no kids for the first time since Camden was born. It was nice to have a little break:) It was a busy, but fun weekend. Happy birthday to all> Gabby's was the Monday before, but I am really bad at keeping up with posting them anymore!!

Pics from Carson's birthday!

As I mentioned earlier...Charlie picked out everything for Carson's birthday. Spiderman seem to rule the night. She picked out the pink icing on the cake, along with the pink glasses for her and the "over the hill" one's for Carson.

My girls are so cute together! Charlie still wants to hold Camden, but she is less and less interested in it. At least with a bottle I know I can keep Cam in one spot!!

Leaps and Bounds!

Camden went from a motionless baby to one who is about to walk. I thought this would happen, but it is still hard getting use to. I use to walk in her room to find her in the exact same place that I left her and this is what I walked into a few days ago. Yesterday, I went in there and she was, standing up!!! Nothing cuter than a smiling baby waiting on you to get them up.

I am Batman!

I don't know where this came from (maybe because Carson and I went to go see Batman), but a week or so ago Charlie was in the playroom playing with her makeup, when I turned around she had painted her eyes pink and declared herself Batman. Then she did her best Batman pose (she has never laid eyes on Batman ~ I don't think!) Anyway, it is not as funny as the Marker Monster, but funny enough!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!

Charlie, Camden and I would like to wish Carson a happy birthday. We celebrated with LOTS of Spiderman stuff, balloons and a cake with pink icing. Charlie told me we needed to get Daddy a Spiderman cup for his birthday...we went to the party store and ended up with about $30 worth of Spiderman stuff. When we checked out the lady said "Ohh, someones brother is having a birthday party!" (Nooo, that would be my 31 year old husband!!) I still have no idea why she thought Carson liked Spiderman, but it made for a cute b-day (pics to come) Charlie later admitted to us, that she though SMwas scary!

We are back from the beach!

As most of you know we went to Surfside with Carson's entire family last week. Fun was had by all. It was quite a big week (as you will later see in pics) Charlie learned to swim all by herself, Camden's crawling has improved PLUS she ROLLED OVER (finally at 9 months!!!). She started sleeping through the night now that she can roll over, sit up and move around! Although Camden had been to the beach before, she did not seem to like it one bit. I figured I would sit her in the sand and let her play, but she wanted no part of it. So between that and Charlie swimming we spent most of our hours at the pool.
We had a great time and are a little disappointed to be back home. Fortunately we can just drive a few minutes and be at the beach again (but it was much nicer being right on the beach!!). Carson and I have spent the last 24 hours trying to figure out how we can spend our entire summers at the beach!! It was fun hanging out with the whole family, and it made me very thankful that I had little girls (just seeing if I get a laugh out of Meredith!!!!!!) We wish Mimi, Chad and the boys lived closer. We can't wait to do it again.

As always, I have posted backwards, so you can start at the bottom or just read it backwards. There are also a few other posts that I put up too!!

The last day:(

We took the girls on the boat on the last day. I was pretty against any boat rides, only because Camden is miserable in her life jacket (but she fell asleep) but I decided that it would be a nice change of pace from the pool. These are the only pictures I have of my girls on the beach ~ technically we were on a sandbar. Anyway, Charlie and the boys got a little last minute fishing in and we all enjoyed the summer air in our face!!!

Charlie the acrabat

On the last night we were there Carson and I took Charlie out to the Garden City Pavilion (the Morrow's had to leave a day early:(~ ) We had driven by this thing a few times and Charlie said she wanted to do it. We were not really sure if she would go through with it, mainly because a stranger would be the one that hooked her up (not mommy!) Anyway, she did and LOVED it. She did a few times that night and once again on our way out of town. Now I am on the lookout for a "Euro Bungee" in Charleston!!!!
