What a week
I am playing catch up in the blogging world (and the real world for that matter.) I am trying to catch up on all Charlie's birthday activities. She thinks she had two birthdays (when it was my birthday she kept asking when my other birthday was...I was not sure what she was talking about and then we figured out she meant a party. In the mind of a 4 year old your birthday has not really happened until you have a party!) Anyway, here are pictures from her actual birthday. We went to the lake and celebrated with Gabby, Poppie, Grandma, Papa, Aunt Phoebe and Susana. Charlie got lots of great presents this year and I am still trying to find a home for everything. I will post pictures of Charlie's birthday party tomorrow and some Camden updates too (can you believe she was 8 months yesterday??? Where does time go ~ she has some big happenings going on too!) Hope everyone is well!
Finally, presents!!
It's cake time!

More pics to come.
I am working on posting pictures. Charlie's birthday party was today and she had a blast. She had so much fun playing with her friends and opening her presents. This was my favorite birthday as far as presents go because a lot of her friends know how to write, so most of her cards were hand drawn (and I found that 4-6 year olds 'LOVE' everybody they know)... I love it!!!!
The 4th of July
We have had a very packed, fun filled several days. It started Friday with the 4th festivities. We spent the day out at Seabrook with all of our good friends. We started at the pool with the intentions of heading to the beach, but the kids had so much fun we figured we would not ruin a good thing. It was not until I got home that I realized I did not take one picture of Camden on her first 4th of July. As some of you may remember, I dressed Charlie up for every holiday, and took a picture to send to everyone. And now, poor Camden does not have one picture to show how much fun she had in the pool. BUT there was still the firework show. I was hoping Camden would wake up so I could take pictures, and she did. Every year we give Charlie (and now Camden) her bath, put her Jammie's on and drive downtown to watch the fireworks across the city. It is truly one of my favorite things and I look forward to it every year. We were joined by some friends this year, which was fun, but Charlie was a little more sidetracked playing with them then watching the fireworks. Anyway, the girls had a great time and I am happy that I got a few shots of my baby on her first 4th of July (even if she is in her Jammie's and it is nighttime!)

Who knew 4 years would go by so fast!
It is so hard to believe my little girl is 4 years old. Although 4 years has gone by so fast it seems like a lifetime that she has been with us. It is hard to imagine life before we had children. I am a little sad when another year goes by, but I love every day more than the last when it comes to the girls. Charlie does not seem like a toddler anymore, but a true little girl. This was the year when she really understood what her birthday was and the fact that there would be balloons, cake and, most importantly, presents to accompany it. We had a great, long weekend and we are looking forward to her party tomorrow. I am in the process of downloading pictures from the 4th and her birthday now (we did not get back to Charleston until 9:30 last night. By the time I got the girls to bed I was to tired to mess with it.) I will post them as soon as I get them up.
