What does this say about my house

"WOW mom, the house is clean!! Who is coming over??"

Well after 4 years and over 10,000 photos and hours of videos the inevitable has happened...my hard drive is full. Even though we have an external hard drive and most of my pictures are on CD's I have been scared to delete any of them for some reason. But if I want to download any other pictures I will have to clean out my computer this weekend. So there will not be any pictures for a few days!! Check back next week.
Just for a little update...the girls are great. Camden has decided to stray from her schedule which has been a little challenging, but I am figuring it out. In order to get both girls to bed by 7:30 I have to start cooking dinner at 4:30, so it is no mystery why the day goes by so fast. Charlie and Camden love each other and I love watching them. I am glad I have a little one on one time with Camden in the morning. She is all smiles and laughs now. Charlie and I have not had much time alone, but I am hoping to take her some where solo soon. I am defiantly feeling the "strain" of splitting my time, but watching the two of them together makes it all worth while. My girls are great and beautiful and all I do all day is stare at them and think how lucky I am to have them (but I am pretty sure two is all I can handle!!!!)

What a difference a year makes...

If you had asked the four of us when we would have more kids the answer would have probably been the same from both couples... in a couple of years. In fact we were pretty much planning our next vacation to Disney World before we had finished this trip (well at least I was.) Little did we know that Meredith and I would both be moms again at this point. I can't wait to go next year (Charlie too! She keeps asking when we are going back!!) The thing that is hard to believe is that very soon memories of this trip will have faded in Charlie's memory, but it will be a trip I will never forget. Time sure has flown by!!

BIG News

I forgot to include two things on my post yesterday...
#1 Camden had her 4 month checkup on Monday and she weighed 13lbs 2ozs. Everything else looked great.
#2 The biggest news ever and I can not believe that I forgot to mention...CHARLIE IS SITTING ON THE POTTY!!!!! For those of you who have not known my struggles, it has been a year and a half in the making. We were doing fine and one day Charlie decided she was not going to sit on the potty. My doctor told me it was completely normal and it probably had to do with the new house and the baby, but still frustrating none the less. She was suppose to be trained before she started school, but they have worked with me on it. Everyday she would change her clothes or come home wet. She told me she would sit on the potty when she was as big as me. This sounds weird, but I got her to go in the bathtub, yes the bathtub (it saved me lots of money in diapers!) but she still refused to sit on the potty. I knew if I could get her to do it once it would be fine from there. I have been very patient with a few not so patient moments and I took all the advice I was given (even though everyone admitted I had a rare problem and there was no solution!) Anyway, I went back to the treat jar and filled it with Easter Candy and convinced her to get two drops in the potty and she could have two pieces of candy and she FINALLY agreed and that was it. I am so relived. I knew it would happen, but after starting over a year ago you get a little discouraged. I am starting next month with Camden;)

A Month in Review...

So, I know it has been a long time since I have blogged, but it has been crazy around here. I volunteered for Charlie's school auction and that seemed to consume all of my free time for a couple of weeks. Camden has been a little tricky to put down at night, so I have very little time and blogging is the last thing on my mind. I do want to keep everyone posted but for a while it will be slow and go so bare (or bear ~ not sure!) with me.

This was a big month for Camden. She started laughing (I have it on video, and will try to get it posted.) She laughs at Charlie a lot. I seem to be the only one who has a hard time making her laugh, go figure! She has also been grabbing things. I love watching that.

There were also a lot of birthdays over the past month. My Grandmother turned 90 and my Aunt's birthday was the day after and we went to Columbia to celebrate. Papa's birthday was on Friday and we hope to see him soon. Poppies birthday was yesterday and we celebrated at the lake this past weekend. We hope everyone had a great birthday!!

I hope everyone is doing well and I hope to have a little more free time(...ha!! ~I have been typing with one hand!) to blog more. Hope to see everyone soon.
ENJOY!

A Night at the Lake

The Cake Charlie and Gabby made for Poppie's birthday.

Lighting the candles

Singing Happy Birthday (well some of us!)

Wait...who's birthday was it?? She is just practicing for her big day!

Finally, Cinderella gets to eat her cake.

Camden in her bath

Look at that face

All clean!

I love this hat!!

I got this hat at Target before Camden was born and I am in love with the way she looks in it. I want to eat her.

A Day at Saylor's house

Charlie and Saylor on the 4 wheeler (a kid sized one.) Charlie did not like it!

Saylor riding solo!

Charlie playing mommy.

Charlie really loves swings

I tried to take a picture of the girls and realized it will be another 10 years before I get both of them looking at the camera smiling! Here are the many attempts. Saylor wanted to get in on the action.

Even though I did not get one of them perfectly smiling and looking at the camera, they sure are darn cute!

It was a beautiful day and we had a great afternoon at our friends.

Charlie eating Spaghetti

She looked so funny I had to take pictures, and she let me!!! Good thing she was wearing red.

Our First Child

This is what Lake looks like right after I vacuum the house!!! Don't you think that the picture Charlie drew looks just like him?? (next entry!)

Trip to the Zoo

It was a short trip to Columbia, but the weather was so nice my mom and I decided to take the girls to the zoo (my sister was not feeling well so we gave her a small break.) The main attraction was the carousel. We saw about 4 animals before they requested to go back on the carousel. We got to see the elephant eat his 'Valentine.' The girls and I headed back home after that. It was a fun filled two days and we had a great time.
I meant to post this picture separately, but oh well! This picture was drawn and photographed by Charlie. It was the first picture (that I have seen) that resembled something. It is a portrait of my dog, Lake. The little squiggle in between the legs is his tail!! What a big girl. she has since drawn many more portraits, one was of me and what I clearly thought were ears on the side of my head...when I asked her, she said "no mommy, that is your cell phone and water bottle!" Unfortunately it was another sidewalk drawing and it started to rain, so fittingly the only camera I had around was my cell phone and it is now my screen saver. (She can also write about 6 letters!!!)
