Charlie had her first dentist appointment yesterday and did great. Seeing as she brushes her teeth 100 times a day I figured she would have no problems going. She did not want to sit in the chair by herself, but she opened her mouth and let them brush and look at her teeth all they wanted. The biggest meltdown was when they wanted to take her picture for the wall. I have pretty much ruined her on posing for the camera.
We are headed to the beach in a little while...it should be fun the heat index is 105 and my body temp is about 210, so I should be nice and comfortable!!! I will post some pictures later (although they are all starting to
look the same!!!!)
We are also excited to say that Charlie will be expecting another little baby...a new cousin in February. Congratulations Aunt Mimi and uncle Chad (now if we can figure out how to get you back to the Carolina's!!)

3 year olds say the funniest things!!

Earlier today Charlie asked me if she could have some Graham Crackers. I asked her if she wanted peanut butter on them and her response was (and I quote) "mom, that is nonsense...peanut butter is for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, NOT graham crackers!" I don't think Carson or I have ever used the word nonsense.

It's a Girl!!

Well as I think I mentioned earlier, we decided to find out the sex of our baby. Much to my (and a lot of other peoples) surprise we are having another girl!!! The shock has not settled in yet, but I am excited. Part of me wants a second opinion before I start investing in pink stuff, but I am pretty sure now a days they are correct. She did not want to cooperate at first. She kept her legs crossed and I had to come back later for them to try again. She never fully moved her legs, so that is part of the reason I want to see it from another angle. Charlie is happy she is getting a girl, and I know how great it will be for her to have a sister.

I have been making some changes to our blog page and if I find out we are having a boy I guess I will be making even more changes. Anyway, I think I have it set now where you do not have to be registered to make a comment, making it much easier for everyone to comment. I have gotten emails in the past on posts saying that they could not comment etc. So, if you fell like saying something (nice) and you are not a registered blogger give it a try and see if it works.

What a big weekend Charlie had! She is catching up on some much needed sleep right now. After her party on Sunday we all came back to our house and Fischer, Aunt Mimi and Uncle Chad spent the night. We all went to the beach on Monday, it was Fischer's first time and I think it was pretty safe to say he likes it. We are glad they stayed so we could see them a little longer. We had a great time the whole weekend.
In other news...Thursday is my next doctor's appointment and just in case you have not heard I (we) have decided to find out the sex this time. I still think it is a boy, but we will know for sure then. I started to feel it move a few weeks ago and Carson got to feel it on the Fourth of July (Charlie has not seemed real interested in feeling it ~ she just knows she is not fitting on my lap the way she used to !!) Anyway, we will keep everyone updated.

Charlie had a good day Friday. We always try to do something new and fun for her on her birthday, so we decided to take her to her first movie. We went in and sat down and she said she wanted to leave. It was $20 and a long trip to Mt. Pleasant well spent. Fortunatlly Carson and I now have free passes to a movie of our choice. She decided she wanted to go to the aquarium, but we figured by the time we got there it would be closed so we took her to the next best thing...the pet store! We came home with a blue beta fish that somehow cost me $25. She has named him Blue Nemo and so far he has lived for 24 hours. The Keiths came over for diner and cake and her and Jacob had a good time together. We are looking forward to her party tomorrow and we are hoping for clear skies. I will post more pictures after the party. (The music is going to be on until tomorrow and then I will take it off...Carson said it is annoying and I am starting to agree!!)

It's hard to believe that 3 years have gone by...but we can't imigine life without you!!

We hope everyone had a safe and Happy 4th of July!!! We did nothing..well we cleaned out Charlie's play room, nothing patriotic at least. Charlie ran around the back yard most of the afternoon and then after we ate she got a bath and headed downtown to watch the fireworks around town. She is pretty scared of the noise, so we picked out a spot where they were not too loud, but we figured we would still be watching them from the truck. She got brave as the night went on and got out of the truck, but every now and then she would make us get back in. We were out late and she fell asleep in the truck on the way home. It was a good day, now just getting ready for this weekend!!
