Christmas at Gabby and Poppie's

No picture with Santa this year :(

We went to see Santa the other day and Charlie was so excited to get all dressed up and go see. Unfortunately when we got there she wanted nothing to do with him. She stood as far away as possible and told him what she wanted. I had a feeling that would happen. I managed to take a couple of pictures of her in her dress and her new favorite...giant hair bows!! She looks so old.
I did get a picture of Camden with Santa and I am working on getting it from the CD to the blog page, but I am having no luck, so I will come back to it later and try again. I have many more pictures of Camden that I will work on downloading too...she is getting so big.

For all my blog stalking friends, I mean blog hopping (thanks to Lolly for the better name) all the stats and pictures are up on Caroline's blog page. That little boy has lots of love coming his way. He is very lucky to be born into such great families and I think he's got one of the greatest mom's in the world. Congratulation's Caroline...we love you and we can't wait to meet William, he is beautiful.

IT"S A BOY

For all those admitted "blog stalkers" out there who follow all my friends that they have never met...I am happy to report my dear friend Caroline is in the hospital awaiting induction tomorrow, so there will be a baby (hopefully) tomorrow (and not the next day!) I will keep all my loyal blog stalkers posted...although since you are stalkers I know you will hop on over to Caroline's page and see all the news (I am thinking since this is her first child she may not be as crazy as I am and blog from the hospital!)

where is the baby???

Does anybody know if Caroline has had her baby or made any progress?? I hope I would get a phone call, but I am impatient and need to know something now(Caroline, I really want to call you, but I know you are not answering your phone:(!!!)

Charlie's dance class.

Charlie has been taking dance now for a year and a half and has continued to enjoy it. Her teacher always lets the parents sit in and watch a couple times a year and then in May they have a recital. Up until recently Charlie would only sit in my lap when the parents came, so it was quite nice to actually see her "perform." It was evident how much she has matured since starting school and becoming a big sister. I thought the recital would be out of the question again this year, but after Friday I think I am going to let her attempt it and see what happens. It should be quite funny and adorable!!

The lights

We went to see the lights at James Island County Park on Thursday. We were suppose to go last weekend, but Charlie got the stomach bug so we had to postpone it. Charlie wanted to ride the carousel so bad, so I told her the day she felt better we would go. It is a good thing we did not wait until this weekend, because we have had lots of rain tonight. Anyway, we had a good time. Charlie rode the carousel several times and then we took the train on the trails. We checked out all the other stuff and of course ate lots of junk!! It was fun and we will probably go back before the end of the season. If you are in Charleston and you have never seen the lights before, I highly recommend it!!!

Carson elfed Charlie

If you looked at this last night you already saw that Carson elfed Charlie and emailed it to me. This morning he decided to add Camden, so I thought I would put all his troubles on the blog page. By the way, I think the computer thought Camden was a little chubby boy (look at her "body" compared to Charlies!!)

What a big girl.

It is hard to believe that Camden is already a month old. Time seems to be flying by now. She is growing so fast. She still has some newborn qualities, but they are fading fast as she "fills out." There was a week or so that we all though she looked just like Charlie, but now everybody seems in agrement that she no longer does. She definatly is her own little person. She slept in her crib for the first time Saturday night and it has been going well. I am not anticipating sleeping through the night for a few more months, but I will get a little more sleep this way. ~ Unfortunately Charlie has had a stomach bug, so if I am not up with one I have been up with the other. Charlie made it through her first night without getting sick, so hopefully that is gone now. ~ Anyway, Camden also drank from a bottle for the first time last night. She has had a lot of difficulty with that, so now that she is getting the hang of it, it will make Charlie's night time routine a little smoother (she always gets hungry right when it is time to start reading Charlie her books and putting her to bed!) She also enjoys her baths now and does not scream the whole time. I know there will be lots of firsts in the upcoming days, weeks and months, so I will try to keep everyone updated on them. It is getting a little harder to find time to download pictures and post blogs, but I will do my best.

Daddy makes me laugh

Carson can tickle Camden's lip in just the right way to make her smile. Although it is just reflex, I think she is on the verge of smiling for real...that is hard to believe.

I'm never in any pictures so I thought I would post a few. These and the parade pictures are the only ones I have made it in since Camden's birth (well, and of course the birth ones, which I not really in many of those either!)

Christmas parade

We went to the Charleston Christmas parade on Sunday and it was lots of fun!!! It was Charlie's first parade and she loved it. We met up with some friends (who have a baby a couple days younger than Camden) and once we got settled she never got out of Carson's lap. I could not hear any of their conversation during the parade, but Carson said all Charlie wanted to do was get on a float. Camden slept most of the time, but woke up right as the parade was ending, so I missed Santa while nursing in someones driveway. Then as soon as the parade ended it started to rain...not much fun when you are trying to feed a baby ~ the sacrifices we make as moms:) We are going to the lights this weekend, that is always a good time, but makes for difficult pictures.

Side note ~ Does anybody know what is going on with Caroline??

I just added a "counter" to the blog page a few days ago just out of curiosity to see how many people visit the girls site. So far (in three days) it is in the 80's ~ I account for a few of them ~ but can that be true? I can't imagine it has gotten that many hits in three days. Has anyone else who has counters noticed the same thing? That is a little scary to me to think that many people have been checking us out, because I don't think I have that many friends!!

Getting the tree

We went to pick out our Christmas tree this weekend and Charlie had lots of fun running around. We saw Laura, Chris and Charlotte along the way, so I think Charlie just assumed they were there to play. She used a platform as her stage and danced around the whole time...she really did not care one bit about a Christmas tree, but she had fun anyway!!

Charlie's gingerbread house

Charlie and Saylor (with a lot of help from mom's) decorated this gingerbread house. I think most of the candy made into little bellies before any made it on the house.
