A Night at the Lake

The Cake Charlie and Gabby made for Poppie's birthday.

Lighting the candles

Singing Happy Birthday (well some of us!)

Wait...who's birthday was it?? She is just practicing for her big day!

Finally, Cinderella gets to eat her cake.

Camden in her bath

Look at that face

All clean!

I love this hat!!

I got this hat at Target before Camden was born and I am in love with the way she looks in it. I want to eat her.

A Day at Saylor's house

Charlie and Saylor on the 4 wheeler (a kid sized one.) Charlie did not like it!

Saylor riding solo!

Charlie playing mommy.

Charlie really loves swings

I tried to take a picture of the girls and realized it will be another 10 years before I get both of them looking at the camera smiling! Here are the many attempts. Saylor wanted to get in on the action.

Even though I did not get one of them perfectly smiling and looking at the camera, they sure are darn cute!

It was a beautiful day and we had a great afternoon at our friends.

Charlie eating Spaghetti

She looked so funny I had to take pictures, and she let me!!! Good thing she was wearing red.

Our First Child

This is what Lake looks like right after I vacuum the house!!! Don't you think that the picture Charlie drew looks just like him?? (next entry!)

Trip to the Zoo

It was a short trip to Columbia, but the weather was so nice my mom and I decided to take the girls to the zoo (my sister was not feeling well so we gave her a small break.) The main attraction was the carousel. We saw about 4 animals before they requested to go back on the carousel. We got to see the elephant eat his 'Valentine.' The girls and I headed back home after that. It was a fun filled two days and we had a great time.
I meant to post this picture separately, but oh well! This picture was drawn and photographed by Charlie. It was the first picture (that I have seen) that resembled something. It is a portrait of my dog, Lake. The little squiggle in between the legs is his tail!! What a big girl. she has since drawn many more portraits, one was of me and what I clearly thought were ears on the side of my head...when I asked her, she said "no mommy, that is your cell phone and water bottle!" Unfortunately it was another sidewalk drawing and it started to rain, so fittingly the only camera I had around was my cell phone and it is now my screen saver. (She can also write about 6 letters!!!)

My Grandma turns 90!

My Grandmother turned 90 on February 8th and we went to my Aunt's house to celebrate. It was the first time they all met Camden and it had been awhile since they had seen Charlie. Susana and Charlie were a little shy at first but it did not take them long to get comfortable and make themselves at home! They ran around the house like they owned it ~ the only thing that slowed them down was cake. They also had some Christmas presents to open, but they did not really slow them down either! It was great seeing everyone and we hope to see them again soon (Charlie keeps asking when we can go back to Aunt Patty's house!)
