Grandma and the girls

Posted by Picasa

OK I took about 20 pictures of the girls with Grandma and Papa and these are not the best, but it is really hard to see how good they are on Picassa (and at this point I am doing good posting anything!) Anyway, not so easy to get 2 4 year old, a 1 year old and the grandparents in a pic together.

Opening presents at Grandma's and Papa's

We went to Columbia on Christmas day. The girls had fun playing together and opening more presents!!

The girls and their Christmas presents

Aunt Phoebe gave the girls princess sleeping bags and they were a BIG hit. They could not wait to dress up and sleep in them. We tried to actually let them sleep in them that night and it did not go so well. Maybe next year.

Susana's 4th Birthday.

Before heading out to the lake we went to Aunt Phoebe's to celebrate Su's 4th birthday. She was not feeling so great, so we did cake and that was about it. She had her birthday party last weekend (Jan. 10) and Charlie had a GREAT time. I did not get to go, because I had to work:( I still can't believe how big the girls are.

Opening presents at Gabby and Poppy's

Charlie wrote her own name. I am so proud!

This is the first post that got out of order. It is very hard to post a month and a half worth of pics in one night. Anyway the day after Christmas we headed to the lake to spend a few days. When we got there Poppy and Uncle Chad had gone hunting and we had to wait several hours to open gifts (it was hard holding Charlie off!) So, after bath the kids finally got to open presents. Most of my pictures look the same, so I figured this was enough!

Carson's Uncle Ric and Aunt Liz came to visit while we were at the lake house. Liz always brings something for the kids. This time she got Charlie the sponges in capsules. They sat there and did all of them. I will have to get Aunt Liz to babysit the next time we are in Columbia!! Thanks Ric and Liz.

Since we did not start opening presents until night at Gabby and Poppies we all made the executive decision not to let the kids open their last gift until the next day. The loved them and Aunt Mimi and Uncle Chad made sure that Fischer had all the right equipment on.

New Years Eve

New Years was pretty low key this year, but at least I stayed up until midnight. Charlie and I went to a friends house to eat dinner and let the kids play. Some friends of ours from Charlotte came down and stayed overnight to break up their trip to Jacksonville to the bowl game. We came home around 9:30 and Charlie went to bed and the 4 of us just hung out and caught up. It was a good way to bring in 2009.

First off, I know I have not been keeping up with the blog very much lately, but I promise to post pics this week. I have been swamped with photography and the last thing I feel like doing is anything having to do with photography. I am finishing up with my last client before Christmas and I have told people that I will not do any more pics in December, so maybe by the end of the week I will have my pics up! I did want to post something funny Camden did today...
I remember Leslie telling a story similar to this one when Will was small and I laughed so hard when I read it. I laughed even harder when it was my kid!!! As most of you know Camden is a big eater. She loves all food and loves to eat all the time. In her spare time, she crawls to the pantry gets what ever she can grab... cereal, crackers, raw noodles, it does not matter she will eat it. Anyway, we went to the Children's Museum today and they have a grocery store. It is a miniature store with real boxes of stuff. Camden got a buggy and walked around and I did not think anything of it. She rushed towards the section of cereal and grabbed a box. She sat on the floor and proceeded to open it. When she could not she got very mad and handed me the box to do something about it. Then she saw the bananas and tried to eat them. Then the bread, and the oatmeal, and the juice boxes. All I have to say is I had to feed her lunch to avoid any major meltdowns!!!! Wish I had the video camera.

Not to be out done by Camden, Charlie has a funny story too...we were wrapping Christmas presents together. I went to cut the paper by running my scissors down the paper. I had a little trouble (I have cheap paper this year...budget cuts!) and Charlie said "Mommy, you should get the gift wrap cutter. It is faster and safer than scissors." OK????? I think it's time to cut out the TV.
