Camden

Camden has been up to a lot these days. This past month we tried her "door bouncy thing" and just like her sister, she LOVES it. When I am holding her and we get near it her legs start to go crazy. ~ She can officially sit up. I do still put stuff behind her back because she gets very excited every now and then and falls over backwards. ~ Her new thing this week is imitations. I think she seems a little young, but she really does try to imitate most everything you do. ~ She is still the happiest baby. Anytime she sees any of us she gets the biggest smile on her face. ~ She is into everything and it is time that I start to baby proof. It has been so long since I had to do any of that and with Charlie (I really did very little). Camden is the exact opposite, everything goes in her mouth and she tries to get everything. I now have the threat of Polly Pockets and Hungry Hippo balls etc. She has been eating a lot...pears, apples, bananas, blueberries, apricots, sweet potatos, and carrots!~ Anyway, this is the age that I love and everyday I love watching her and her little face as she tries to take on the world!!!

I have not disappeared, I promise. I have, however been very busy!! Today was Charlie's last day of school which is a little hard to believe. It is another thing that reminds me how fast time goes by and my little girl(s) are getting so big. Anyway, the girls are great. I am still "working" on getting Camden to sleep a little more. Telling her to sleep is not working so far!! I have been OK with it for the most part, but the night before last Charlie was not feeling well and between both girls I slept for about an hour, and it finally caught up to me...for the first time EVER I accidentally erased all the pictures from my camera. They were all from Camden's first trip to the beach over Memorial Day weekend. I had some good ones, but fortunately my Mom has some too (she is still at the beach and will email them to me when she gets home!) Anyway, I will work on the blog page this weekend.

6 years!

How times have changed. In six short years we have created the perfect family and life together. Our anniversary was celebrated with a family walk, playing outside with the girls, sitting on the porch on my new rocking chairs (my b-day present from my hubby) and dinner! We celebrated the little things in life...Charlie and Camden. I hope in 60 years we will be rocking on the front porch watching the great grand kids. Happy Anniversary...Thanks for a great life Carson!!

What Daddy lets Charlie do while I am not around

Don't worry she made it safely down the ladder and then fell while walking!!!

If you would have told me that I was going to be the mom of 2 girls and dress them alike, I would have called you a liar. Who knew it could be so much fun or that they would be so cute together!!!! Charlie actually wanted to dress like Camden!! I had to sneak these pics, so you could see them.

A little tickling

Air Show

The air show was this past Saturday and we decided to take the girls to it. I knew I did not want to spend the whole day out there so we left around 12:30 and parked around 2:15 (traffic was awesome!!) Carson and Charlie got out at the front gate of the Air Force Base and walked into the show while Camden and I parked. During that time the Raptors (I think that is what they are called) were performing. I watched from my car, and kind of glad about it, because they were LOUD!!! I momentarily thought maybe I should have left the baby at the house. I seem to like to jeopardize my children's hearing. Anyway, we got there and met up with some friends (they also had their 5 month old baby with them. It made me fell a little better that other people were willing to sacrifice their children's hearing for some entertainment! That way when Camden is hard of hearing, I can tell her Lily is too and that will make it all better.) We had enough time for Charlie to climb in and out of a few planes, spend $6 on a half eaten frozen thing and watch the Thunderbirds perform. I have to say it was a pretty fun thing to watch. Charlie liked them, I think. She does have a problem with loud noises so she covered her ears most of the time. Camden did have earplugs in. She was playing with her toy the whole time and when a plane went overhead she would have this look on her face ~ she knew something made a noise, but of course by the time her little brain processed it and she looked up the plane was long gone. She would then go back to her toy and it repeated itself about a dozen times!! The gates closed shortly after so we headed to our car (which I momentarily thought I lost...but Found!!) We spent about an hour in the car trying to leave. In that time I sat on the floor of the car feeding Camden. I figured we were not moving so what was the harm. Family outings have gotten easier, or at least I am use to the chaos of it all. It was fun, but not as fun as the time I took Charlie solo (Carson had to work) when she was 1 1/2. I think we will sit out for the next few years and maybe attempt it again when the girls are a little bigger!!
