Charlie and I went to see the Nutcracker this year. It was kind of our kick off to the holidays. Susana went last year and because Camden was so young and needy, I decided to wait. I got my tickets at a different time, so we did not sit together (which was probably a good thing). Charlie was good for the most part. She got a little twitchy towards the end, and we left for a little while, but really it was 2 hours long. All in all she loved it and we look forward to the yearly tradition. This is before we left to go (and notice Charlie's beautiful necklace that she picked out of my jewelry box to wear!!)
At the park
As everybody knows it was unseasonable warm before Christmas. I hate cold, but I will say Christmas is the one time of year I would like to wear at least one sweater. After that it could be 80 all the time and I would be happy. Anyway, I figured I would enjoy it while it lasted. I love these pics because Charlie and Camden are (kind of) playing together. I love that they can almost play together.
December was a big month for Camden. She learned to walk, got a few molars and also learned where a few body parts were. Of course when one of our kids learn something new, we beat it to the ground! Here she is happily swinging and then I make her show me where her belly is. She had just learned to do it, so she happily complied...now she looks at me like "not again!" As of January 15, she knows belly, feet and if you ask her where her nose is she will point to yours!?!
Ha
This picture has nothing to do with Christmas (obviously) but she looks so funny. Charlie is obsessed with putting peoples glasses on. She will need them if she keeps putting my family members glasses on. I don't ever let her keep them on, but I just happened to have the camera near by and could not resist. Hopefully she will get her daddy's eye sight.
Making Santa's cookies.
I gave Charlie a Martha Stewart Cookie Cookbook and let her pick out what ever cookie she wanted. She picked out the black and white cookie. I only know what these are from an old Seinfeld show. Anyway is was our first try and I will say they are pretty good. They are soft like cake in the middle and I probably ate one or ten too many. Charlie LOVES to cook (and lick the batter!)
After all the presents had been open...
