The 4th of July

This picture got knocked out of order, it is Charlie after the fireworks...it was a long day!!

This is the second year we went out to Seabrook to celebrate the 4th. We participated in the island's parade, then spent the day at the pool. After Seabrook, we came home and Charlie and I waited to see the fireworks. Carson stayed home with Camden (she had a big day and we put her to bed before the sun went down.) Since Charlie was 1 we have gone downtown to the same parking garage to watch the fireworks. From this spot you can see the fireworks all the way from N. Charleston to Sullivan's Island and inbetween. She likes this spot because it is far away enough that the sound does not bother her. I like it because we have been doing it for so long. We flip the seat back in the mini van and wait, and wait for the firworks to begin. By the end of the night Charlie was worn out. It was a fun, long day!

A lot has been happening over the past month and a half. I am hoping to catch up on pictures and events this week, so stay tuned. I have not given up on the blog, but it is much harder to stay on top of it now a days!!!

Finally...

OK, so there are pictures and lots of them. That was the most exhausting post ever. I tried to catch up on two months of pictures and I think I got most of it. There are very little words as you can imagine, so I will try to fill everyone in now. We have been loving summer around here and have been on the move. May was the busiest month so far. Charlie finished up the rest of the year at her new school and will return to the same school in just 4 short weeks. Carson and I went to Jamaica and shortly after we got home the girls and I went to Hilton Head with my family for a few days. Charlie swam in the pool from sun up to sun down. Since then she has been doing lots of swimming and she is really good. She can swim to the bottom now. She would live in the pool if we let her. Of course Camden is trying to do everything Charlie does and her swimming skills have come a long way too. Camden has no fear of the pool (which can be a little scary at times). She will jump in and go completely under, climb out and do it all over again! She will not let you hold on to her in the pool, she wants to do it all by herself.
June went by extremely fast. We took a couple of trips to Columbia, so Susana and Charlie could play. They are funny together...they love each other, but fight like cats and dogs. Charlie always tells me she wants to move, so she can walk to Susana and Grandma's house.
Charlie will be 5 tomorrow which is hard to believe (although, I can't imagine life before her!). She is so grown up in every way. She loves her little sister and her little sister loves her, but I see some of the sibling rivalry coming out already!! Camden always wants to do what Charlie is doing and Charlie usually helps her. Camden is still not talking a whole lot, but she is adding works slowly. We are having a great summer and trying to fit a lot in. Time is going by so fast and I am just trying to enjoy every minute with the girls. Life is fast, but fun with them.

Pictures from the boat

Carson and I got a babysitter the other night and took the boat out. We took diner out and watched the sun set. It was very nice. It is amazing how easy the whole boat thing was without children!!!

Charlie is getting ready for her 5th birthday party at the skating rink!!!

More backyard pics.

More flowers from Charlie's garden.

Father's day

Charlie decorated Carson's present with a picture of the family. There is obviously a sun, and the buttons are white clouds, the blue ones are stormy clouds! Camden is still pretty small. In fact, Charlie just drew a picture the other day and Camden was still in my belly. Camden is going backwards in Charlie's world!! Carson had I good day (I think). The girls decorated a picture frame for his office, and we gave him a gift certificate to net flix. He and Charlie took the boat out and went fishing in the afternoon.

Camden is still obsessed with having something on her head. We have now moved on from toboggans and bicycle helmets to goggles and masks!!
