Charlie's first day back at school

This is the best I could do to capture Charlie going to school. She is back at the same school we stared mid year last year. She was very excited to start back.

Going to the dentist

So the whole point of me taking my camera to the dentist was to capture Camden's first trip. That did not happen because she did not let me put her down. She did very good though and open her mouth wide for them to brush and look around. Charlie is such a big girl now, she hops up in the chair without having to be asked.

Homemade water park

I get a magazine called Family Fun (for those of you who don't know about it, it is a really good magazine with lots of fun projects, games etc.) Anyway, in the summer issue it had an article on how to make your backyard into a waterpark. I tried it. It was fun, a little redneck, but fun. The kids had a great time. We left it up for a while, but it started killing the grass. At the end of the summer our next door neighbors gave us there $500 water slide. Their kid wanted it for his birthday party but was too big for it. We figured they saw this and felt sorry for us!! The kids slid down this more than the real thing!

Charlie turns 5!

Charlie wanted to be surprised on her birthday. She gave us specific instructions not to tell her when it was her birthday, instead she wanted us to decorate the house so when she woke us in the morning she would be surprise. That was the extent of my decorations.

To finish off the week we went to the lake to celebrate with family. It was a long, great week for Charlie. It is so hard to believe she is already 5. These years have flown by. I am looking forward to the next 5 years.
